Source: Crawfordsville Review Oct 22, 1918 p 7

God in His infinite wisdom, chose on Friday morning Oct 11, 1918 to take to that home eternal, Harry D. Weaver, second son of Cyrus F. and Martha L. Weaver, who was born near Paragon, Monroe County, Ind Feb 6, 1886. At the time of his death he was 32 years, 8 months 5 days old. When a small boy, he together with his parents moved to this county where he has spent the remainder of his life. He felt he could serve his country by helping the government where he was most needed and it was while down at Penniman, VA that he was stricken with dread disease, Spanish influenza. He was removed to the hospital, double pneumonia set in and his spirit took its flight to the great beyond. Of Harry it could be said he possessed most of the virtues which go to make big, strong, honorable men and to know him wa sto love and respect him. He leaves many friends and relatives to mourn his early taking away and none who appreciated his friendship more than his young companions and associates here. He was a member of the Christian Church, also of the IOOF Lodge. In 1914, he was married to Miss Mae McKinsey. Funeral services were held at the late home, conducted by Rev. Elmore of the Baptist Church. The floral offerings were many and beautiful. Besides his wife, he leaves to mourn a father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Cyrus Weaver of Indianapolis; one brother, Santford Weaver of Lafayette, Ind; four sisters, Mr. Ira McIntire and Mrs. James Michaels of Crawfordsville; Mrs. Rose B. Tomlinson of Franklin Hospital. and Miss Ethel Weaver at home with her parents, with hosts of relatives and friends - kbz
